To that end, Hanwha Aerospace engages in regular communication with relevant stakeholders across the German political and administrative landscape, including the Bundestag (particularly the Defence Committee and Budget Committee), the Federal Ministry of Defence (BMVg), BAAINBw, the Federal Chancellery, and relevant state-level governments. These engagements are focused on providing technical information, presenting industrial cooperation proposals, and responding to inquiries related to capability requirements. Hanwha also participates in dialogue with the EU institutions and agencies concerning European defence initiatives such as the European Defence Fund (EDF), Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO), and joint procurement schemes. The company aims to contribute to European defence resilience by offering interoperable systems already adopted by multiple NATO and EU member states. Interest representation is conducted both directly by Hanwha's own representatives and via commissioned government relations (GR) firms, which support structured outreach and policy engagement. These GR activities are focused on explaining the military, industrial, and economic benefits of Hanwha's systems, advocating for transparent and competitive procurement processes, and aligning with German and EU policy goals on defence readiness and strategic autonomy. Additionally, Hanwha supports policy dialogue by participating in defence-related events, parliamentary roundtables, and bilateral industry forums, and by issuing position papers and technical white papers where relevant.
